What Is the Browser Extension?

The HTML.to.Editable.Design Browser Extension is a companion tool for the Figma plugin. It runs in your browser and captures the full rendered HTML of any webpage you're viewing — including pages behind login walls and dynamically rendered content.

The extension saves the captured HTML as an .hted file, which you can then import into the Figma plugin via the File tab.
